Biennale Venice or more commonly the "La Biennale" is a major art exhibition which takes place every two years (every odd year) in Venice. Italy.
Then exihibition begun in 1895 and is now famous worldwide, especially for its modern art and film festivals, the latter the oldest film awards ceremony in the mvie industry.
In recent years an architecture and dance exhibitions were also added.
The Biennale is full of works and ideas from modern artists. Some are are so, well, original to make me think what is art in the end.
Right now (September 2010) the architecture section is taking place and it's for the first time directed by a lady (from Japan) who actually won a major award right here in 2007. Well, for instance, some wonder if what is shown is architecture or (conceptual) art...
