Years back I read of a professional crafter who was telling his story, from starting to look for money (and the bank guys acting as if THEY were the experts) to where to look for suppliers.
But in short the biggest "secret" in the professional crafts business that he revealed is this one:
You must make a living working only 8 hours a day and for 5 days per week.
In other words, your time is precious!
It's seems obvious but it's not!
I have seen wonderful work of art and incredibly beautiful and detailed craft objects but if it took weeks or months to make them, then you must sell them in the range of hundreds to the thousands of dollars!
and so the second rule applies now, (this is the second of the crafts business secrets that I 'll rember forever).
Take any technology available to cut working time!
If you have something which you do by hand and it takes half a day to do it, then look for a device or a machine which make it for you in 5 minutes!
Again, your time is valuable!
