Free Cloud Pictures

Free cloud pictures for your art projects and generally for all needs.

I have been taking these photos since a couple of years and so I thought I coud offer them on my website now.

So enjoy these pictures.

To download, right-click it and click on "save as..." and the choose which in folder on your computer you want to store it.

By the way, this is a good opportunity to mention shadows and shades. In any good drawing book, there is always a lesson on how to create real resembalnce to bojects. This is done through shadowing and knowing about

• MAIN SHADOW
• REFLECTED SHADOW

The first one is the darkest tone and more or less more centrally located in an object. It's the part which receives less light, the most "hidden" from the source of light.

The sesond shade, the reflected shadow, is lighter in tone and more towards the edge. For instance, in a cloud, the light reflected from the ground, so bottom up, is creating this lighter shade.

and the same applies to a cloud.
