Nahui Olin (Mexico City July 8, 1893 – Mexico City, January 23, 1978) is the aztech nickname given by one of her lover to Carmen Mondragon. The nickname means "the fifth (and last) sun".
I included this name in my list after seeing her name made by a group of women in a forum.
She was a very beautiful lady in the 1920s and 1930s and this is the main thing which arises when looking aat her biography online (see wiki link below).
I couldn't find many works but a quite harsh judgement by the same online reference encyclopedia.
Carmen Mondragón is considered one of the talented and revolutionary women who formed the 1920s and 1930s in Mexico by activism and creativity, like Guadalupe Marín, Antonieta Rivas Mercado, Frida Kahlo, Tina Modotti, Lupe Vélez and María Izquierdo. Her popularity was due more to her beauty than to her artistic and literary work. [wiki]
So, is beauty really what matters?
As a school girl in Paris. She was in her early 20s
In any case, she was also fortunate to be in Paris in those incredible years and had the opportunity to meet Picasso and speak in his own native language.
She was famous for the nude photographs were she posed as a model. She alsp played the piano and composed poems. Her paintings, erotic poses of herself naked or with her lover, close to the naive style, are getting more attention.
