Time needed for a painting

When you look at the time needed for a painting you are heading to surprising results. Which help you see things in the right perspective.

Here are some examples:

time needed for a painting

Sue Walter, Pineapple top, watercolor : 1 week ; price asked for the paintinting: $2200. How do I know it took her one week? She said so in her excellent DVD: Commanding Color where you can see how to make this painting PLUS a lot more (how to use watercolors wam/cold hues etc...)

digital art, 1 week to make this painting, by silvia¨fusetti

Warrior by SIlvia Fusetti. There is a tutorial which explains the making of this painting (In reality, a lot of it comes from photos). The funny thing is that the article stated that the author used 3D software to "speed up" painting. Well, actually, I later visited her website and found out it took her 1 week to make this painting! Well, In any case, 1 week of work in Italy is probably worth 300 Euros (About $450) in salary...A good bargain for the industry (who probably paid MUCH more the owner of the company she works for).
